Insights Institute

Morning,
I am getting ready to do the FUN BOOK as part of a day-long training I am doing in about a week...
I want to create understanding of the importance of the blends of personality styles by giving some good examples - famous.. of:
I/S vs. I/D
S/I vs. S/C
C/D vs. C/S
D/I vs. D/I

any thoughts input/ideas?
thank you

Well, just off the top of my head, I always use Thomas Edison as a C/D blend. He was, from my estimation, very much a 'C' type, with all highly intelligent mind, (have you ever seen the test he gave applicants to work for him? Oh my gosh!) And the persistance to complete and try anything, (10,000 ways that wouldn't work for a light bulb).

At the same time, I believe he was a definate 'D' type...He said that if he was going to invent something (most of his patents were of improvements), like the light bulb, the phonograph, etc., he wouldn't do it unless he was able to create an industry from it. (I then ask the audience if they have ever heard of General Electiric. Pretty big industry, where he was at the start of it.)

I think that if you refer to the basic certification manual and look at the list of DIS and C personalities you could discern a few.
